RZ Mask is a Minnesota-based business making high-quality safety products for serious tradespeople and casual DIYers. It has produced many unique and innovative products; however, its core remains its tried and true reusable filtration masks. Created from necessity, RZs founder, an avid Powersports enthusiast, developed the first mask to wear while he hit the trails. He needed something that provided the highest comfort level and kept his lungs safe from dust and grime, and the RZ Mask was born.

RZ brought me to the team to create a refreshed and consistent visual identity. Its branding had become unfocused, using many designs developed throughout its 10-plus years of business. Because most of its customer base comes from woodworking, construction, and DIY, I took a modern vintage approach centered around the brand archetype of "The Creator." It utilizes strong iconic shapes, colors, and straightforward typefaces meant to remind you of that old hardware store on the corner with a mindset that embraces today's technology and innovations. Below is a small selection of some of the work created for RZ Mask.
